Renew
a blown fuse untill you are satisfied as to the cause and
you have rectified the irregularity.

Close
any switch unless you are familiar with the circuit which
it controls nd know the reason for its being opened.

Touch
or tamper with any electrical gear or conductor, unless you
have made sure that it is DEAD AND EARTHED.

Work
on the live circuit without the express orders of the supervisor
and make certain that all safety precautions have been taken
and you are occompanied by a second person competent to render
first aid and artificial respiration.
- Disconnect earthing connection
or render ineffective the safety gadgets installed on mains
and apparatus.
- Open or close switch or
fuse slowly or hesitatingly and do it quickly and positively.
- Touch an electic circuit
when your hands are wet, or bleeding from a cut or an abrasion.
- Use wires with poor insulation.

Disconnect
a plug by pulling a flexible cable when the switch is on.

Work
on energised circuits without taking extra precautions, such
as use the rubber gloves.

Use
fire extinguisher on electrical equipment unless it is clearly
marked for that purpose and use sand and blanket instead.
- Throw water on live electrical
equipment in case of fire.
- Discontinue artificial
respiration untill recovery or death is clarified by Doctor.

Attempt
to disengage a person in contact with a live apparatus which
you cannot switch immediately, and insulate yourself from
earth by standing on rubber mat, or dry board before attempting
to get-him clear. Do not touch his body, push him clear
with a piece of dry wood.

Allow
visitors and unauthorised persons to touch or handle electrical
apparatus or come within the danger zone of H.V. apparatus.
- Test circuit with bare
fingers.
